We couple experience in construction, furniture-making, and design-build delivery with expertise in thermal modeling, material analysis, and other methods of ecological inquiry. In this way we work with our clients and collaborators to create climate-conscious and thoughtfully crafted spaces.
The name of our practice encapsulates this ethos. KLEI is the Proto-Indo-European root of climate as well as a homophone for clay, one of the oldest construction materials and building techniques in the world.
KLEI Architecture is a Design Professional Corporation (D.P.C.), based in New York, and registered in jurisdictions throughout the United States.
