Riga Education Center
This is a competition entry for a
small educational center nestled in a UNESCO-protected neighborhood in Riga,
Latvia, to educate the public about Latvia’s WWII underground resistance
movements. Our concept abstracts this weighty mission into compact, dark
concrete volumes, supporting a bright and airy steel superstructure. The
symbolic narrative is one of transparency and dialogue built on a heavy past.
